COVID-19 Response: Ultra Cold Training in Douala, Cameroon

February 18, 2022
Partnering with UNICEF and the UPS Foundation, Michael traveled to Douala, Cameroon to lead the training of Ultra Cold Vaccine storage and distribution methods to 30+ Ministry of Health Vaccine team members from all over the country. UPS Healthcare provided 10 Stirling Portable ULT25 Ultra Cold Freezers with back-up power supplies and 26 11L Orca PCM boxes. The week-long training was the first time Michael instructed non-English speakers and it was translated in real time by UPS partners into French. The team also created their own SOP documents in both English and French.
